This story was a follow-up to the first PKG I pitched about a Honduran mom of three who was detained at her immigration hearing and deported separate from her children. For this story, a reporter and I went to the children’s immigration hearing and spoke to the kids and their grandmother beforehand.
Phoenix police investigating claim of physical discipline by preschool teacher
I found and pitched this story after a father said his two children were being abused at a Phoenix daycare. I coordinated the interviews with the family and it was an HFR story for an I-Team reporter. I worked with the reporter to gather all the elements/information from the family, the daycare and Phoenix PD.
FBI: Arizona online lottery scams against seniors up 400%
I pitched this story after the U.S. The Attorney's Office sent a press release regarding a man who was extradited back to the U.S. from Jamaica for online fraud schemes. This case was noteworthy because it’s highly unusual that scammers get caught, let alone extradited for prosecution.

I pitched this story not only because of its timeliness with the actions of the current administration, but also because it was an impactful story for this Arizona family to share. I found the story, coordinated the interviews with the family and it was assigned in the morning editorial. It garnered over 230,000 views on the 12News YouTube channel.

I helped produce the 12+ streaming coverage for KPNX, cutting SOTs and watching the entire Lori Vallow-Daybell trial unfold in Arizona. Vallow-Daybell was on trial for murder conspiracy, in addition to her previous murder trials in Idaho. I worked with the lead reporter on this story and the Investigative Executive Producer to help produce trial coverage. The content I worked on for the show was also used as part of KTVB's coverage in Boise.
