My name is Madison Miller. I am an incoming senior at Chapman University studying Broadcast Journalism and Political Science, with an interest in local news. I am interested in the assignment desk, digital, multi-platform producing and the investigative team.

I spent two summers as an intern in the KPNX newsroom in Phoenix, primarily on the assignment desk. From this experience, I gained advanced newsgathering skills and produced several packages. I also had the opportunity to help produce streaming coverage of the Lori Vallow Daybell trial on 12+ and field-produce for the 12News Summer of a Million Meals Telethon.

I worked as a Story Desk Intern at CBS 8 San Diego during the summer of 2026, where I worked on the assignment desk and produced digital content for cbs8.com and social platforms.

I am an executive producer at Chapman News, the local student newscast at Chapman University. As EP, I lead a team of 20 student journalists to cover Orange County, and oversee the digital team. Previously, I was an MMJ where I produced, wrote, shot and edited weekly stories on deadline. I was also an executive producer of Chapman News’ general election night coverage in 2024.
